What types of diagnostic services do you offer?

We use some of the most advanced equipment in the industry giving us the capability of performing diagnostic exams such as x-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and Doppler.

Will my insurance cover the sonogram or X-Ray, if I have the exam in my house?

Yes, Medicare and Medicaid cover the cost of your home exam, as does nearly all other Major Insurance Carriers. Sonograms can also be done at your facility and are covered. Normally, we post our registered and fully certified technician at your clinic at least one day to cover sonograms for scheduled for the entire week.  We can do 12 sonograms per day.

Who qualifies for portable X-Rays?

Any patient that would find it physically or psychologically difficult to obtain their exam outside of their home or place of residence. X-Rays are only covered when done at the patient’s residence to include Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assistant Living Facilities, and Rehabilitation Centers.

My parent/relative is upstairs/downstairs, can you get the equipment to them?

Yes, the sonogram equipment is about the size of a laptop and the new Digital X-Ray equipment no longer requires taking bulky equipment upstairs.

How long will it take for my Doctor to receive the report?

Your Doctor will have access to review sonogram and/or x-ray images within hours and interpretation reports will be available within 1 to 2 hours from the time that the image is taken.

My parent/relative is often confused and sometimes uncooperative. How would you deal with this situation?

This is an extremely common situation for our technologists. Our staff is trained to handle different situations. Everyday our staff successfully completes exams with patience and care. Our technologists have experience with patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and psychological dispositions, as well as physical limitations. Our equipment is extremely fast. Our patients do not necessarily have to remain still for the entire exam.

Are portable X-Rays safe to use in private environments?

Yes, the radiation used to acquire a portable X-Ray is extremely low due to the high tech digital component of the DR equipment. The skin dose to the patient is usually the same as a hospital radiograph and in some cases, less.

Can a private individual request a portable sonogram or X-Ray examination?

Yes, but it must be done through his/her primary care physician.  If the private individual has a doctor’s order. All results are delivered directly to the ordering physician.
